Raipur, May 24 (UNI) In a significant development, 24 hardcore Maoists, carrying a total bounty of ₹87.5 lakh, surrendered before security forces in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh on Friday. Among them, 20 Maoists had rewards ranging from ₹50,000 to ₹10 lakh announced for their capture.

The surrenders are seen as a positive outcome of the government's effective Surrender and Rehabilitation Policy-2025 and the 'Niyad Nella Naar Yojana'.
