65 films to be screened on fourth day of IDSFFK

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 27 (UNI) As many as 65 films, including newly approved entries, will be screened in different sections on the fourth day of the 18th International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala (IDSFFK) here on Monday.
The day's screenings will cover Competition, Focus, Malayalam, International Fiction, International Non-Fiction, Campus Films, Vanguard Motion, African Shorts and Homage sections.
In the Competition—Long Documentary category, Gotipua: Beyond Borders, The Eight Heroines, Papa Tell Me Who You Belong To? and My Otter Diary will be screened. The Competition—Short Fiction section features Black Cat, Paradise Fall, A Mouse and a Man, Bhintila Paath and A Handshake.
The International Animation section includes Saba, Widespread and In the Beginning, while Everything on the Table, The Bull and Baby, Melatonin and Raha will be screened under International Fiction.
The International Non-Fiction section features the documentaries Madres de Nacimiento and My Father and Gaddafi.
The Focus section includes Karangi Karangi Karangi, Leading Light, R.E.O: The Dangerous Peak, Wheels to Kodachadri, Chapter Two, About My Father, The Valley of Health, Liar's Dividend, Kakken - Parakaya Pravesham and Maupassant's Cat.
The Final Witness, Puyal and Thirayal will be screened in the Campus Films section, while Bonami will be featured in the Malayalam Short Fiction section.
As a tribute to late filmmaker R. Sarath, Bhoomikkoru Charamageetham and Dear Krishna will be screened. The Homage section will feature Raja Sen's Raja Sen: Filmmaker for Freedom and Dr S. Krishnaswamy's Through a Different Lens.
Two classics by Alain Resnais, Song of the Styrene and Paul Gauguin, will also be screened as part of the special programming.
The festival will also feature films under Vanguard Motion, African Shorts—including Crossings and Go Back and Get It—Nagari Shorts, Soundscapes and Jury Films.
A Meet the Directors session will be held at noon, followed by a Face to Face session in the evening.
Film scholar and art curator Ashish Rajadhyaksha will deliver a lecture on contemporary documentary cinema in India at Hotel Horizon at 11 am. The session will include film excerpts and video clips.
An unplugged musical performance by Abhijith Damodaran, known for his work in the film and album sectors, will be held around 7 pm.
