ACB raids former officer Dilip Khedkar’s residence, unearths Rs 13.30 cr disproportionate assets

Ahilyanagar, Sep 30 (UNI) The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has searched the residence of retired civil servant Dilip Khedkar, father of dismissed IAS officer Puja Khedkar, at Bhalgaon in Pathardi taluka of Ahilyanagar district, in connection with a disproportionate assets case.
Teams from the Nashik and Ahilyanagar units of the ACB carried out the search and seized several documents and records from the premises.
According to the agency's preliminary findings, the Khedkar family allegedly possesses assets worth around Rs 13.30 crore that are disproportionate to their known sources of income.
The ACB has registered a case against Dilip Khedkar and his wife, Dr Manorama Khedkar, alleging that they acquired disproportionate assets amounting to about 102 per cent over their known income.
During the investigation, officials reportedly found documents relating to immovable properties held in Dilip Khedkar’s name at several locations, including Ahilyanagar, Pune, Haveli, Powai, Baramati, Bhalgaon, Mulshi, Aundh, Panvel, Kharwandi Kasar and Shirur Kasar.
The documents seized during the search are expected to be examined to establish the ownership, value and source of funds used to acquire the properties.
The ACB is also scrutinising the family's declared income and financial transactions to determine the extent of the alleged disproportionate assets.
The action comes amid continuing scrutiny of the Khedkar family over their financial affairs and properties. UNI SP SAS
