AIIMS Bhubaneswar ranks 12th among top medical colleges in the country:Survey

Bhubaneswar, June 26 (UNI) AIIMS Bhubaneswar has been ranked 12th among the top medical colleges in India in the prestigious India Today-MDRA Best Medical Colleges Survey 2025.
The institute has also secured the 2nd position among the Top 10 Emerging Medical Colleges in the country—a testament to its rapidly growing reputation as a center of excellence in healthcare and medical education.
The survey, conducted by leading media house India Today in collaboration with Marketing & Development Research Associates (MDRA), evaluated institutions across five key parameters: Intake Quality and Governance, Academic Excellence, Infrastructure and Living Experience, Personality and Leadership Development, and Placement and Career Progression.
Celebrating the achievement, Dr. Ashutosh Biswas, Executive Director of AIIMS Bhubaneswar, said, “This recognition reflects our relentless pursuit of excellence.”
He added, “Our continued rise in national rankings demonstrates our holistic approach to grooming future medical leaders while ensuring the best patient outcomes.”

Kendrapara, June 26 (UNI) The Additional District and Sessions Judge-cum-Special Court Kendrapara today sentenced a youth to 20 years of Rigorous Imprisonment and a fine
amount of Rs 65,000 for allegedly kidnapping and raping a minor girl

The youth ,wrongfully confined a 16-years old girl under Patakura Police Station limit in October 2024 and committed rape, Manoj Kumar Sahoo, the Special Public Prosecutor of Additional District Judge –cum-special judge (POCSO) said.
