New Delhi, May 13 (UNI) In a significant travel disruption, both Air India and IndiGo have announced the cancellation of flights to several northern and western Indian cities for Tuesday, citing "latest developments" and prioritising the safety of passengers.
On Tuesday, national carrier Air India announced the cancellation of all flights to and from Jammu, Leh, Jodhpur, Amritsar, Bhuj, Jamnagar, Chandigarh, and Rajkot. Late on Monday night, private airline IndiGo issued a similar advisory, suspending its operations to and from Jammu, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Leh, Srinagar, and Rajkot.
In its official advisory, Air India said: "In view of the latest developments and keeping your safety in mind, flights to and from Jammu, Leh, Jodhpur, Amritsar, Bhuj, Jamnagar, Chandigarh and Rajkot are cancelled for Tuesday, 13th May."
IndiGo, in a parallel statement, noted: "In light of the latest developments and with your safety as our utmost priority, flights to and from Jammu, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Leh, Srinagar, and Rajkot are cancelled for 13th May 2025."
Both airlines expressed regret for the inconvenience and assured that their operations teams are closely monitoring the situation. Passengers have been urged to check their flight status before proceeding to the airport and reach out to customer care for assistance.
