Pune Jun 24 (UNI) Ajit Pawar's panel won the Malegaon Cooperative Sugar Factory election here on Tuesday.
The first results of the election have come out, and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has won from the 'B class group'.
Out of 102 cast, 101 votes were valid, out of which Ajit Pawar got 91 votes.
The counting of votes for the much-talked-about Malegaon Cooperative Sugar Factory election, which plays an important role in Baramati politics, began this morning. Nationalist Congress Party (NCP-SP) President Sharad Pawar and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, along with Sharad Pawar's old colleague Chandrarao Taware, were in the fray to win power in this popular sugar factory of the state.
This factory has more than nineteen thousand voters, and they will elect 21 directors from the ninety candidates contesting the election.
