Akshar Yoga Kendraa launches mission to train one million Yoga teachers by 2030

Bengaluru, Nov 6 (UNI) Akshar Yoga Kendraa has launched a nationwide initiative, ‘Bharath Yoga Kranti’, targeting the training of one million professional Yoga teachers by 2030, with 1,500 fully funded scholarships to be offered in its first phase.
The initiative aims to make professional Yoga education accessible to people across the country, particularly those from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, while creating employment and entrepreneurship opportunities in the wellness sector.
Under the first phase, selected candidates will undergo an intensive 45-day residential Yoga teacher training programme in Bengaluru. The institution will bear all expenses, including education, accommodation, nutritious meals, clothing, study materials, Yoga equipment, assessments and professional certification.
Participants will also receive career guidance, job placement assistance and entrepreneurship support to help them establish sustainable livelihoods in the wellness industry.
The training programme will combine traditional Yoga practices with theoretical and practical instruction in mental well-being, holistic health, teaching methodologies and professional development. Experienced Yoga Masters and professional instructors will guide participants at the institution's Bengaluru facilities.
Announcing the initiative, Himalayan Siddhaa Akshar, Founder of Akshar Yoga Kendraa, said Yoga was one of India's greatest contributions to the world and its knowledge should be accessible to everyone, irrespective of their economic background.
"Through Bharath Yoga Kranti, our vision is to empower individuals with professional skills, create meaningful livelihood opportunities and build a new generation of Yoga teachers who can contribute to society," he said.
The institution, recognised as a Leading Yoga Institution by the Yoga Certification Board under the Ministry of AYUSH, has trained more than 50,000 Yoga teachers and reached over 20 million learners across 80 countries.
It has also secured 42 Guinness World Records under Akshar's leadership.
The mission aims to promote preventive healthcare, mental well-being and skill development while building a nationwide network of qualified Yoga professionals.
