Alld HC dismisses Shiksha Mitras' petitions to include them in Special TET

Prayagraj, Oct 1 (UNI) In a major setback for the Shiksha Mitras, the Allahabad High Court has dismissed a bunch of petitions seeking inclusion of Shiksha Mitras in the Special TET 2026.

The court had reserved its decision on September 24 and delivered its verdict on Thursday. A single bench of Justice Manju Rani Chauhan delivered the verdict.
In its order, the court stated that the petitioners cannot claim to be eligible to appear in the special examination simply because they are eligible to appear in the general TET.
The court acknowledged that their legal status is different from that of working teachers and that the Constitution does not require the state to eliminate any distinction based on a valid legal purpose.
The petition was filed by petitioner Waseem Ahmed and 220 others.
