Anti-reservation attitude of Cong, BJP is well known: Mayawati

Lucknow, Apr 9 (UNI) Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati on Wednesday said that the anti-reservation attitude of Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is well known while terming the Nyaypath proposal in the Ahmedabad session of Congress a hoax.
Welcoming the Supreme Court's decision regarding governors, Mayawati said that this will strengthen Baba Saheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar's humanitarian constitution and democracy.
Taking to X, she posted, "The proposal in the Ahmedabad session of the Congress Party, especially regarding BJP's 'pseudo-nationalism' and Dalit and backward Bahujan interests, is full of deception and unreliability. Congress's attitude has always been deceptive in the matter of implementing reservation and other welfare constitutional guarantees for these classes."
She said, "The resignation from the post of law minister for Baba Saheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar's promise to give reservation to the OBC community through Article 340 and its non-implementation and then BSP's important role in getting them reservation under the Mandal Commission report is well known, while the anti-reservation attitude of Congress and BJP is well known.”
The BSP supremo said, "In reality, the attitude of Congress, BJP and SP towards Baba Saheb from awarding him Bharat Ratna to his crores of followers has always been casteist and anti-Bahujan, for freedom from which BSP was formed, but now for the votes of these classes, politics of deceit and fraud is being done."
She said, "The much talked-about decision given by the Supreme Court yesterday, which curbs the arbitrary actions of the Governors and the politically malicious role of the Raj Bhawans, is welcome. It is hoped that this will definitely strengthen Baba Saheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar’s humanitarian and welfare constitution and the country’s democracy."
