UP: Youth arrested for rape of elderly woman

Banda (UP), Apr 17 (UNI) A 35-year-old youth was arrested by the police on Thursday for sexually assaulting an elderly woman in Girwan area of Banda district here in Uttar Pradesh, a police officer said here.
Circle Officer (CO) Naraini Ambuja Trivedi said that the incident took place when the mentally deranged 60-year-old woman was lying on a cot outside her house and the accused picked her up in a deserted area and raped her.
He said that on receiving information about the incident, accused, identified as Kallu Dwivedi, a resident of Seodha village, was arrested on Thursday.
