AP: Congress Political Affairs Committee meeting to be held in Vijayawada on Sep 19

Vijayawada, Sep 17 (UNI) Around 25 senior Congress leaders, including former union Ministers and CWC members, are set to participate in the Congress party’s Political Affairs Committee meeting to be held here on September 19.
This was announced by Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) Vice President and In-charge of Administration Kolanukonda Shivaji.
The meeting, to be held at Andhra Ratna Bhavan, will be attended and chaired by Congress party Andhra Pradesh in-charge P V Mohan as the Chief Guest. Former PCC Presidents and former IAS officers will also participate in the meeting.
A preparatory meeting was held here on Thursday at Andhra Ratna Bhavan to discuss the arrangements and conduct of the meeting.
The meeting also held detailed discussions on the party’s preparedness for the forthcoming Corporation elections in Vijayawada. It was observed that the development of Vijayawada took place significantly during the Congress regime.
The Congress has a history of bringing JNNURM funds and taking steps to reduce slums in the city. The meeting observed that the two regional parties have failed to allocate adequate funds for the development of Vijayawada city.
Even today, Vijayawada city does not have an East Bypass, and no permanent solution has been provided to the traffic problems at Ramavarappadu.
The meeting expressed the view that those who failed to address these basic development issues have no moral basis to seek votes from the people.
The meeting was attended by Kolanukonda Shivaji, Baipudi Nageswara Rao, Shaik Khursheeda, Meesala Rajeshwara Rao, Shaik Ansari, Borra Ravichandra, Sunitha, and Indira and others.
