AP EAP CET fifth day exam registers 94.71 pc attendance: JNTUK VC

Kakinada, May 23 (UNI) Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada (JNTUK) Vice chancellor and also the chairman of the AP EAP CET-2025 Prof CSRK Prasad said on Friday that the online exam for engineering stream on the fifth day was concluded peacefully and registered 94.86 percent attendance.
He said for the morning session exam as against 28,095 students only 26,609 attended and 1,486 abstained thus registering 94.71 percent attendance.

Similarly for the afternoon session exam as against 28,088 students only 26,684 attended and 1,404 abstained registering 95 percent attendance.
In total for both morning and afternoon sessions 56,183 students were to be attended but 53,293 attended.
With 2,890 absentees, 94.86 percent attendance was registered, he added.
While giving the Kakinada district position, convenor Prof Subbarao said that as against 899 students registered for the morning session only 872 attended the exam and 27 abstained.
The attendance percentage was 96.99.
For the afternoon session as against 895 students only 867 attended. With 28 absentees the attendance percentage registered was 96.87.
When taken into consideration both the morning and afternoon sessions, Prof Subbarao said that as against 1,794 students only 1,739 attended, thus registering 96.93 percent attendance.

AP: Three-year-old girl allegedly raped, murdered

Kadapa, May 23 (UNI) In a shocking incident, a three-year-old girl was allegedly raped and murdered by a man at M. Kambaladinne village of Mylavaram mandal on Friday.Police said that a couple, belonging to Amruthnagar near Proddatur, went to Kambaladinne village to attend a marriage of their relative. The deceased girl went out of the function hall to play with other girls. Sometime later the parents found her daughter was missing.The parents, along with their relatives, searched all over the area and found the body behind thorny bushes. The police registered a case and shifted the body to the GGH for postmortem. It is learnt that the villagers apprehended the rape accused and handed over the police.Poignant scenes were witnessed at the village with grieving parents and relatives inconsolably.
