AP: Gandikota Fort will be developed as attractive tourist place: Union Minister

Kadapa, May 29 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Rural Development Pemmasani Chandrasekhar on Thursday said Gandikota will be developed as a most attractive tourist place.
The Union Minister visited the fort here during the day.

Talking to the media on the occasion, the Union Minister said that the Central government had allocated Rs 78 crore to develop Gandikota fort as a tourist hub. He claimed that the fort would be developed like the Grand Canyon.
The Union Minister lauded the fort, stating that the Gandikota fort was an architectural marvel and explained the history of Gandikota and how the Bahmani emperors failed to intrude the fort.

Pemmasani Chandrasekhar revealed that tenders for the development works are at final stage. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu promised to install a 100-feet tall statue of emperor Sri Krishnadevaraya on the Gandikota premises, he highlighted.
He assured of reaching out to the people of Rayalaseema.

Taking a dig at the previous YSRCP regime, Pemmasani Chandrasekhar regretted that the tourism sector was badly neglected during the YSRCP regime. UNI DP SSP
