AP: JNTUK to sign MoU with Wadhwani foundation

Kakinada (Andhra Pradesh), Apr 28 (UNI) The JNTUK will soon sign an MOU with Wadhwani Foundation for starting the open elective programme in entrepreneurship and start ups from the next academic year.
A broad understanding has been arrived at a meeting of the representatives of both the institutions held at the VC conference hall here on Monday.
JNTUK Vice Chancellor Prof CSRK Prasad said that students could be shaped into entrepreneurs by inculcating required skills enlisting the cooperation of Wadhwani Foundation.
He said efforts were being made to start an open elective programme in entrepreneurship and start ups in under graduation level from next academic year so that students could develop as industrialists with new innovations and startups.
By signing the MOU , the Wadhwani foundation would enrich the JNTUK lecturers through a customized learning programme to shape the students with entrepreneurial skills and develop them as industrialists.
Wadhwani Foundation representative Murhty said they would conduct faculty development programmes by signing the MoU so that they would in turn shape the students as bright with creativity, innovations , critical analysis, communication skills, research and development, financial literacy and awareness on project planning.
After the deliberations both sides had favoured entering into agreement.
From JNTUK side VC Prof Prasad, Rector Ramana, Registrar incharge Prof V Ravindranath , OSD Koteswera Rao attended while Murthy represented on behalf of Wadhwani foundation.
JNTUK Director Academic Planning Prof Balakrishna chaired the meeting.
