AP: Many tourism projects coming up in AP: Ajay Jain

Bhimavaram, May 22 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Government State Tourism special Chief Secretary Ajay Jain on Thursday said many major tourism projects are coming up in Andhra Pradesh and it is aimed to keep Andhra Pradesh at top in tourism sector in five year.
Addressing a press conference at Kopalle of Kalla Mandal near here Jain said that the AP government has decided to grant industrial status to the tourism sector and develop several tourism projects to make AP the number one state in the country in the tourism sector within five years.

Under the State Tourism Development's new policy, projects are being developed in public-private partnership. As part of that, a floating restaurant on the Krishna River will come up, a berm park in Vijayawada, and single-bedroom luxury houseboats in the Konaseema backwater will be set up.
A wire bridge between Polavaram and Pattiseema will also be constructed and land will be allotted on a bidding basis to companies (MSMEs) investing less than Rs 50 crore,” Ajay Jain revealed.
