AP: Rich tributes paid to Ahilyabai Holker on her 300th birth anniversary

Kakinada (Andhra Pradesh), Apr 17(UNI) Rich tributes were paid to the memory of Ahilyabai Holker, the great woman who strived for protection of Hindu Dharma, at a function held at the Pydah Chalamaiah Kalyana Mandapam here on Thursday to mark her 300 birth anniversary.
BJP spokeswoman and AP State Civil Supplies Corporation Director Tummala Padmaja Kamala Chaired the function.
Regional Director of School Education G Nagamani, who was the chief guest, has exhorted the womenfolk to emulate Ahilyabai Holker in preserving our great hindu culture and family bondage.
RSS South Central Kshetra Pracharak Bharat Kumar who was the guest of honour said Individual is not important but only family occupies pivotal position in Indian culture and it is the duty of every woman to strive for protecting such great culture.
Kakinada District Samyojika V .Bharathi, Kamala and other members attended.

Chennai, Apr 18 (UNI) Apparently referring to Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankar's remarks
on the Supreme Court setting time frame for President to take decisions on a plea filed by
Tamil Nadu over the delay in Governor granting assent to Bills passed in the State Assembly,
Chief Minister and DMK President M K Stalin said “no one, however high, can be above the
law.”
In a social media post, he said the SC's historic verdict on course correction has rattled many
anti-democratic forces as it was a step towards resetting the process.
