AP: Star Health strengthens hospital partnerships to enhance cashless healthcare access

Rajahmundry, Sep 24 (UNI) Star Health and Allied Insurance Company Limited, one of India’s leading standalone health insurance companies, here today brought together over 100 hospital leaders representing approximately 75 healthcare providers in Rajahmundry as part of its efforts to strengthen hospital partnerships and enhance access to cashless healthcare for customers in the market.

The gathering included hospital owners, Managing Directors, CEOs and CFOs from Rajahmundry, Kakinada, Tanuku, Amalapuram, Anaparthy, Kothapeta, Mandapeta, Tadepalligudem and Ravulapalem. Dr. Kurukuri Vijay Kumar, President, Andhra Pradesh Specialty Hospitals Association (ASHA) addressed the gathering, alongside Star Health’s senior regional leadership.

The interaction focused on strengthening collaboration between hospitals and the insurer, improving cashless servicing and creating a smoother experience for customers during hospitalisation and claims.

Star Health currently has 110 network hospitals across Rajahmundry and surrounding markets, strengthening access to cashless healthcare for customers across the region.

During FY26, the company settled 2,822 claims worth over Rs 21.01 crore across these markets. Of these, 75 per cent were serviced through the company’s cashless network. Star Health currently serves 48,921 customers across Rajahmundry and surrounding markets.

Star Health was represented at the gathering by Srinivas KBB, Business Head, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Chhattisgarh; Dr. Usha, HRM Head; Dr. Nagaraju, Regional Claims Head; and senior members of the regional team.

Srinivas KBB, Business Head, AP, Telangana and Chhattisgarh, said, “As health insurance adoption grows beyond the large metros, building a strong and responsive healthcare ecosystem becomes increasingly important. Hospitals are central to how customers experience health insurance at the time they need it most.”

“Our focus is to deepen our presence across markets such as Rajahmundry, strengthen cashless access and work closely with healthcare partners to make the hospitalisation and claims journey simpler for customers. Stronger collaboration across the ecosystem will be critical to supporting the next phase of health insurance growth,” he noted.

The hospital partner engagement focused on areas that directly influence the customer’s hospitalisation experience, including cashless claims processes, coordination between hospital and claims teams, timely servicing and smoother exchange of information.

The company remains focused on widening access to cashless healthcare and delivering a simpler and more responsive experience for customers seeking hospitalisation and treatment.
