AP: Two boys drowned in Julleru reservoir

Eluru, May 18 (UNI) Two boys were drowned in the Julleru reservoir when they entered into the water for a bath at Doramamidi village of Buttayagudem mandal on Sunday.

Police said that the deceased boys Sheik Abdul (5) and Sheik Siddiqe (10) were siblings. Abdul was studying UKG and Siddique was studying 4 th class at a private school in Tadepalligudem. The family was residents of Tadepalligudem

The siblings went to their maternal grandparents' house to spend the summer holidays. Along with their family members, the boys went to the reservoir on recreation. The boys ventured into the reservoir for a bath, slipped and drowned.
The police pressed expert swimmers to trace and retrieve bodies. The bodies were fished out after a four hours search in the reservoir and shifted to the GGH for postmortem. Heartrending scenes were witnessed at the area hospital in Jangareddygudem with grieving parents and relatives inconsolably.
