AP: Wipro Cares open applications for Santoor Scholarship programme in AP

Vijayawada, Oct 6 (UNI) Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting, in association with Wipro Cares, has opened applications for the Santoor Scholarship Program 2026–27 in Andhra Pradesh, continuing its efforts to enable young women from economically disadvantaged backgrounds to pursue higher education.

For the 2026–27 academic year, 500 young women from Andhra Pradesh will be selected for the scholarship. Each selected student will receive financial assistance of Rs 30,000 per annum until the completion of her undergraduate program. The assistance can be utilised towards tuition fees, living expenses and other education-related costs.

The Santoor Scholarship Program places particular emphasis on reaching students from disadvantaged communities and districts, where financial and socio-economic constraints can often limit access to higher education.

Global Head of Sustainability and Societal Initiatives, Wipro Limited, P S Narayan, here on Tuesday, said: “We are pleased to launch the 11th edition of the Santoor Scholarship program. We started this initiative, founded on the conviction that bridging the gap between school and college education for girls from disadvantaged communities can empower them in ways that can create positive outcomes cascading into their future. Our experience since then has strongly reaffirmed the same. We stay strongly committed to what we believe is a critical enabler of an inclusive, just and humane society”

Neeraj Khatri, President, Wipro Consumer Care, India and SAARC Business, Wipro Consumer Care and Lighting, added: “Across Andhra Pradesh, the Santoor Scholarship Program has helped thousands of young women pursue higher education and realise their aspirations. Having supported young women through more than 10,000 scholarships across multiple states in India, the program stands as a testament to the transformative power of education.”
