Arunachal: Timely 108 Ambulance response saves RTA patient in Daporijo

Itanagar, May 31 (UNI) Demonstrating the efficiency and dedication of the 108 Emergency Ambulance Services in Arunachal Pradesh, a road traffic accident (RTA) victim received timely and critical care during an inter-facility transfer from CHC Maro to Tadak Dulom District Hospital, Daporijo, on Friday.
The accident involved a collision between a bus and a Tata Mobile vehicle. The patient, who was traveling in the Tata Mobile, sustained a right leg fracture and multiple facial abrasions. At 8 am, the 108 ambulance was dispatched for the transfer.
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Marpa Uli, accompanying the patient, demonstrated commendable professionalism and medical acumen. She efficiently administered IV fluids and continuously monitored the patient’s vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, and oxygen saturation (SpO₂), ensuring the patient’s stability throughout the journey.
The patient was safely handed over to the medical team at the District Hospital for further treatment.
EMRI Green Health Services, which operates the free 108 ambulance services in Arunachal Pradesh, has been serving the state round-the-clock since its launch on June 21, 2021, by Chief Minister Pema Khandu.
The dedication of EMTs and ambulance pilots of EMRI Green Health Services, who work tirelessly 24/7, continues to play a vital role in saving lives and providing emergency medical support across Arunachal Pradesh. Till date, the service has benefited over 28,500 individuals across the state, officials said.
