Bihar gets drugs testing and monitoring lab

Patna, June 26 (UNI) Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey today inaugurated a drugs testing and monitoring lab set up at an expenditure of Rs 30 crore in Patna.
Pandey said here that the quality of drugs and other food items will be examined at the lab equipped with all modern facilities. This would bring a revolution in the health sector, he said, adding that now the drugs would not be sent outside for testing.
The Health Minister said earlier testing of the drugs quality was time consuming but with establishment of the lab, precious time would be saved, paving the way for timely action.
He said 28 new gadgets have been installed in the lab for minute testing of drugs and other food items.
The Health Minister said the new facility in the form of laboratory is a strong guarantee of health security for the 13 crore people of Bihar. Along with providing better treatment facilities, the government was ensuring the quality of medicines made available to patients.

amount of Rs 65,000 for allegedly kidnapping and raping a minor girl

The youth ,wrongfully confined a 16-years old girl under Patakura Police Station limit in October 2024 and committed rape, Manoj Kumar Sahoo, the Special Public Prosecutor of Additional District Judge –cum-special judge (POCSO) said.
