Bihar govt seeks approval for establishing five ordnance factories in state

Munger, June 25 (UNI) Bihar Industries Minister Nitish Mishra today said that the state government had sent proposals to the Centre seeking approval for setting up five ordnance factories in Bihar.
Mishra said that proposals for setting up ordnance factories had been sent to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
Setting up ordnance factories was proposed in Munger, Kaimur, Banka, Jamui and Arwal districts of Bihar, he informed.
The Association of Owners of Munger Gun Factories has warmly welcomed the move of the Bihar government to ensure the setting up of ordnance factories in Munger and other districts of the state.
Gun factories in Munger district were in existence for more than two hundred years, and a large number of skilled workers were available who could get jobs in ordnance factories, they stated.
Rajesh Kumar, an owner of Gun factory, said that Ordnance factory would give a big boost to gun manufacturing and selling business of Munger district. It would be blessings for skilled workers for Munger and other districts of the state, he pointed out.
