Bihar: Man gets 10 years RI for trying to rape his minor daughter

Patna, May 24 (UNI) A special POCSO court on Saturday awarded 10 years rigorous imprisonment (RI) to a man for trying to rape his minor daughter.
Special judge Dinkar Kumar also slapped a fine of Rs one lakh on accused Raju Sao, who resided under jurisdiction of Mokama police station area of Patna district.
The court has ordered the District Legal Services Authority, Patna to provide compensation to the victim.
The accused had attempted to rape one of his minor daughters. The FIR (first information report) of the case was registered at the Kankarbagh police station in the year 2019.
The prosecution had recorded the statements of seven witnesses in the court to prove the charges in this case.
