BJP is unshakeable in UP, we will win third time & UCC will be implemented: Amit Shah

By Manoj Bhadra
Lucknow, Oct 30 (UNI) Claiming that the BJP has "Angad's foot" in Uttar Pradesh and no one can shake it, union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday announced that if the party forms the government for the third time in 2027, it will implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in the state.
He stated that no one can dislodge the BJP from Uttar Pradesh and appealed to the workers, "Brace yourselves. Like Arjuna, keep your eyes on the fish's eye. We have to form a government for the third time."
Shah said that "the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh is like Angad's foot, and no one can remove it. The BJP is going to form a government in Uttar Pradesh again; there's no doubt about it."

Shah said, "If we form the government in Uttar Pradesh for the third time, we will implement the UCC. We abolished Article 370, not a single stone was moved."
"Now, as for de-addiction, we have to achieve it by December 2029. Riots have declined by 70% since our government took power. We need to tell the public what will happen if the BJP government does not come to power."
Addressing the BJP Working Committee meeting here, union Home Minister Amit Shah also raked up the Ayodhya issue and reminded the delegates that October 30th plays a significant role in Uttar Pradesh. On this day in 1990, bullets were fired on Ram devotees in Ayodhya.
He questioned SP leader Akhilesh Yadav, "I want to ask, with what face do you talk about forming a government? You fired bullets at Ram devotees, and we built the Ram temple. The public won't forgive for this even to your third generation".
Shah said then CM Kalyan Singh demolished the disputed structure without worrying about the government.
Targeting the opposition, the Home Minister said that "after losing the match, the SP and Congress are accusing the umpire of vote theft".
"The BJP is ready for a discussion in Parliament. Come once, let's call a special session. We are ready to answer every point and discuss it in Parliament."
He also taunted the opposition saying, "From the Himalayas to Gangotri, there is only saffron. If Rahul and Akhilesh want to do something, they should do it, otherwise Modi will become PM for the fourth time."
He said, "Rahul Baba's meaningless nonsense must be answered by forming a BJP government in UP in 2027."
Praising Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's tenure, Amit Shah said, "I want to congratulate Yogi ji for his tough governance and freeing Uttar Pradesh from the mafia. No one can dislodge the BJP from Uttar Pradesh."
"The opposition practiced appeasement. They couldn't build the temple for five hundred years, but when Modi's government came to power for the second time, the Ram temple was built," he said.
Taking aim at the Congress, Shah said, "They could not form a government in UP for 41 years, and in Gujarat for 41 years. If this behavior continues, Rahul and Akhilesh won't be in power for the next 30 years.
"Based on the god-like workers of Uttar Pradesh, I say that the BJP will remain in power for next 30 years."
He said, "In the 2024 elections, a government was formed in Odisha for the first time, and a victory was achieved in Arunachal Pradesh. While you were immersed in the pride of statistics, governments were formed in Haryana, Maharashtra, Bihar, and West Bengal.
"After three decades in Delhi, the BJP Government formed. Scored a hat-trick in Assam and West Bengal and wiped out Mamata Didi."
Shah said, "Rahul Baba, I want to take you back in time when Rajiv Gandhi taunted us, 'Hum Do Hamare Do' (we two, our two). But we took inspiration from that taunt. Today, we have 240 seats in Parliament. Modi is Prime Minister for the third consecutive time. The NDA has formed governments in 22 states.
"After six decades, someone has become Prime Minister for the third consecutive time."
He said, "earlier the political landscape was plagued by casteism, nepotism, and corruption. Even the Sun can be harmed by one Rahu. Casteism, nepotism, and corruption were the three Rahus in the country. But now we have changed everything."
He said, "In 2014, we had only 44 MLAs in UP, and there was a lot of disappointment. I even went to every tehsil. Once the organization was in order, we won 73 Lok Sabha seats in UP in 2014 with 41 percent of the vote.
"When demonetization happened in 2016, Akhilesh Yadav had a sleepless night. We won 312 seats in the 2017 assembly polls with 40 percent of the vote."
Shah said, "All the government's work is on one hand, yet the valor of the workers is the greatest. Uttar Pradesh has seen the largest number of workers. The SP hasn't won a single election since Akhilesh Yadav's arrival. Congress hasn't formed a government since Rahul Gandhi's arrival.
"Workers should make the assembly elections their own. They should work hard to form a government in 2027."
Shah described BJP workers as the party's owners.
Addressing the rebellion withing the party, he said "Leave all your resentments and grudges in the Gomti River. We will meet again during the elections. I will ask for an accounting. The ledgers must be kept in good order."
Shah said, "Narendra Modi spared no effort in providing funds, and Yogi Adityanath spared no effort in implementing them in UP. However, the public must be told this. Akhilesh ji, what did you and your father's government do? They usurped the rights of the poor and gave them to their families and workers. The UP government had selectively distributed benefits to beneficiaries."
He claimed that, "Investments worth Rs 50 lakh crore have come in UP and investments worth Rs 15 lakh crore have already been implemented. If we combine all the terms of SP and BSP, then one term of our Yogi ji is more than them.
"Investments have come in due to improved law and order. Employment has come in due to investment. This is a double engine government. The Centre has left no stone unturned here. The Government of India has given thousands of crores of rupees for the infrastructure of UP.
"UP has the country's largest expressway network. The country's largest airport has been built in Jewar."
Earlier, Amit Shah, who arrived in Lucknow after nearly nine months, was given a rousing welcome by Chief Minister Yogi and both Deputy Chief Ministers along with other senior leaders at the airport.
Yogi and Shah sat side by side during the meeting. UP State President Pankaj Chaudhary and UP BJP in-charge Vinod Tawde were also present.
