BJP prepares booth-level roadmap for UP Assembly polls

Varanasi, Oct 15 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has begun preparations for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections by organizing a two-day expansion training programme for its Kashi and Gorakhpur regions on October 14 and 15, focusing on electoral strategy, social and political dynamics, public outreach and booth management.
Addressing a session on “Social and Political Situation in Uttar Pradesh in Context of Elections,” BJP National Minister and Uttar Pradesh Co-Incharge Jagdish Patel stressed the importance of understanding local issues, public sentiment and social expectations to strengthen the party’s organizational effectiveness.
He said party workers should counter opposition allegations and what he described as misleading propaganda by presenting facts and highlighting the government’s actions. Patel also called for strengthening ties with traditional supporters while expanding the party’s outreach to new social groups.
Emphasizing public concerns, he said issues relating to law and order, women’s safety, business security and good governance should be effectively communicated to voters.
Speaking on “Organizational Structure and Booth Work,” State Organization General Secretary Dharampal Singh said electoral success depended on effective implementation of strategies, coordination among party workers and sustained public engagement.
He called for strengthening booth committees, holding regular meetings, maintaining voter contact and addressing local grievances to improve the party’s grassroots presence.
Regional President Ashok Chaurasia said expansion workers served as a vital link between the organization and society. He urged them to understand local conditions and public sentiment while carrying out their responsibilities.
Expansion workers, Assembly in-charges and Assembly guardians from the Kashi and Gorakhpur regions participated in the training programme. Discussions also covered regional socio-political conditions, organizational procedures and preparations for the upcoming Assembly elections.
