Brazil's Serie A: Palmeiras routs Corinthians to stay in title race

Buenos Aires, Oct 12 (UNI) Argentine defender Agustin Giay scored twice as Palmeiras cruised to
a 4-1 home victory over Corinthians in Brazil's Serie A.

Giay and Alexander Barboza struck first-half goals and Matheus Bidu turned the ball into his own net just after the interval as the hosts opened up a 3-0 lead on Sunday.
Palmeiras went further ahead courtesy of Giay's 51st-minute strike before Gustavo Henrique pulled a goal back in stoppage time.
