Hyderabad, Apr 27 (UNI) BRS working President K T Rama Rao along with senior leaders hoisted the party flag at Telangana Bhavan here on Sunday morning ahead of the party’s silver jubilee meet at Elkathurthy in Warangal district, which is set to be one of the largest gatherings in the party’s 25-year history.
BRS chief and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar who will kickstart the silver jubilee celebrations at Elkathurthy this evening, will address his first public meeting after several months.
Since this is the major meeting after the electoral debacle during 2023 assembly elections, the party leaders hope it would boost the morale of the party workers in the state.
After hoisting the party flag at the party office here in the morning, KTR along with senior leaders paid tributes to Telangana ideologue Prof Jayashankar and freedom fighter Konda Laxman Bapuji at Tank Bund.
They also paid tributes to Telangana martyrs’ memorial at Gun Park, near the assembly.
Speaking on the occasion, KTR described Konda Laxman Bapuji and Professor Jayashankar as the pillars of Telangana Statehood movement whose ideologies inspired the party chief Chandrashekhar Rao to lead the party for the past 25 years.
BRS leaders hoisted party flags in respective villages across Telangana on Sunday morning marking the party’s foundation day across the State.
Sharing on ‘X’ social media platform, KTR said “ Respectfully offered Tributes to Telangana’s Martyrs at Gun park, paid homage to Telangana Talli, Sri Acharya Jayashankar Garu, Sri Konda Lakshman Bapu Ji and hoisted the party flag at Telangana Bhavan before setting out for the mammoth rally at Warangal."
