Celebrated novelist Jeffrey Archer's demise big loss to world of English literature : Anbumani

Chennai, Oct 6 (UNI) Celebrated novelist Jeffrey Archer’s demise is an irreparable loss to the world of English literature, PMK President and Rajya Sabha member Dr. Anbumani Ramadoss, an avid reader of his novels, said on Tuesday.
Mourning his death, he said "I was deeply saddened and shocked to learn of the passing of renowned English novelist, senior Conservative Party leader and former Member of Parliament Jeffrey Archer at the age of 86."
A celebrated author of gripping and compelling novels, Jeffrey Archer captivated readers across generations for more than five decades. "I was an avid reader of his novels during my school years, and he remained one of my most admired and favourite novelists. The enduring popularity of his works is reflected in the fact that his novels have sold more than 300 million copies worldwide.
Having devoted more than five decades to literature, Archer continued his writing until the very end of his life. His final novel, Adam
and Eve, is being published today. His unwavering commitment to writing and his abiding love for literature until his last days were
truly remarkable, Anbumani saod.
The passing of Jeffrey Archer leaves an irreparable void in the world of English literature. His remarkable body of work and enduring literary legacy will continue to be cherished by generations of readers, he said.
"I convey my deepest condolences to his bereaved family, friends, readers and admirers, and share their grief at this profound loss", he added.
