The self-enumeration facility will be available from January 10 to January 24, 2027, before the start of house-to-house population enumeration. The notification, however, does not specify the detailed procedure or platform for self-enumeration.
The schedule has been notified by the Central government under Section 3 of the Census Act, 1948, read with Rules 6A and 6D of the Census Rules, 1990.
