Certain people tried to defame me in Disha Salian case: Aditya Thackeray

Mumbai, July 3 (UNI) Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aditya Thackeray today stated during the past five years, certain individuals have persistently tried to malign his image by linking him to the Disha Salian case, despite having no connection to the matter.
In a brief interaction with the media following recent developments in the case, Thackeray said, "Certain individuals have been trying to defame me for years. I refuse to give any reaction on an issue with which I am neither associated nor familiar."
Redirecting attention to critical governance issues, Thackeray sharply criticised the state government's failure to address the alarming rise in farmer suicides. He further added, "This unfortunate circumstance could have been avoided if the loan waiver had been sanctioned".
He further called for immediate redress for the marginalised fishermen communities residing in the Sassoon Dock area, pressing for justice and fair compensation.
