Coast Guard inducts indigenous Fast Patrol Vessel ‘Aparajit’ to strengthen maritime security

New Delhi, Oct 31 (UNI) The Indian Coast Guard, on Saturday, inducted its latest indigenously built Fast Patrol Vessel (FPV), ‘Aparajit’, into its operational fleet, bolstering coastal surveillance, maritime security and rapid-response capabilities along the western seaboard.
The vessel, bearing Yard 1278, was inducted at Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) on October 31 as part of the Coast Guard’s ongoing fleet expansion and modernisation programme. Built for speed, endurance and operational flexibility, ‘Aparajit’ is equipped with advanced systems and mission capabilities to undertake a range of maritime operations, including law enforcement, search and rescue, coastal surveillance and protection of India's Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).
