Hyderabad, June 30 (UNI) In preparation for the visit of AICC President Mallikarjuna Kharge, a team of senior Congress leaders, including PCC Chief Mahesh Kumar Goud, Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and Vakiti Srihari, Chief Minister's Advisor Vem Narender Reddy, Rajya Sabha MP Anil Kumar Yadav, MLA Danam Nagender, veteran leader V Hanumantha Rao, Khairatabad DCC President Rohin Reddy, SAT Chairman Shivsena Reddy, and Minority Residential School Vice Chairman Fahim Qureshi, conducted an inspection of LB Stadium today.
The inspection was carried out to oversee arrangements for the upcoming Village-Level Congress Presidents’ meeting scheduled for July 4 at LB Stadium, where Mallikarjuna Kharge will be the chief guest.
The leaders examined preparations including stage setup, seating, parking, VIP entry points, and security measures to ensure smooth conduct of the event and convenience for attendees.
Speaking to the media on the occasion, PCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud said that over 25,000 Congress workers, including village, mandal and district presidents, general secretaries, affiliated association representatives, and state-level leaders, are expected to participate in the meeting.
“This is not just a meeting—it is a strong response to the fascist regime of Narendra Modi at the Centre. Kharge is coming here to give strength to our party's grassroots and to inspire a democratic fightback,” Mahesh Kumar Goud said.
Taking a dig at Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who visited Telangana on Sunday, Goud remarked, “You halted the war against Pakistan midway when Trump intervened... And if some of our citizens are part of the Left movement, why don’t you declare a ceasefire and initiate dialogue with them?”
