Cong seeks spl Parliamentary session on India-Pak situation

Kalaburagi, May 11 (UNI) Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge, on Sunday said the party has demanded a special session of Parliament to deliberate on the ongoing situation between India and Pakistan and the future course of action.

Speaking to reporters here, Kharge said, "We have demanded that the Parliamentary session be convened for discussing the situation and future actions. The war was paused, which was a good thing, and we want peace for the people."

Emphasising that the safety of the country is paramount, Kharge said the Congress will support the government in all efforts taken to ensure national security. "Whatever is done to keep the country safe, we support the government in that," he added.

Khare's remarks come amid an understanding between the two nations following heightened tensions amidst Operation Sindoor.
