Congress' Raju Kage not alone, many more set to rebel: Yediyurappa

Bengaluru, June 23 (UNI) It’s not just Congress MLA Raju Kage, who has criticised the Siddaramaiah government, there are dozens more. One by one, they will begin to speak out. Just wait and watch, said BJP Central Parliamentary Board member and former Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa.
Responding to a media question about Raju Kage’s criticism of the Congress government, Yediyurappa told reporters today at the BJP State Office, Jagannath Bhavan, “Senior Congress MLA BR Patil has made a serious allegation that nothing moves without paying a bribe while distributing housing. He has also said he would convey the ground reality directly to the Chief Minister if summoned.”
“We fear that the Chief Minister might try to silence BR Patil instead. Meanwhile, this government has had the audacity to file FIRs against respected individuals like Mohandas Pai, citing false reasons. Senior leaders and even apolitical citizens are being intimidated from speaking against this government. It is creating an atmosphere akin to an emergency. The Chief Minister is responsible, and DK Shivakumar is backing every step of it,” Yediyurappa alleged, condemning the developments.
He added, “We will travel across the state to inform our workers about all these matters. We are also considering what form the next phase of protest should take. I have committed to visiting the BJP state office daily and will tour one district each week as suggested by party leaders. I will meet party workers and make them aware of the government's failures and corruption scandals through internal meetings, not public rallies initially,” he clarified.
Yediyurappa also paid floral tribute at the BJP State Office in Malleshwaram—Jagannath Bhavan—on the occasion of the death anniversary of Bharatiya Jana Sangh founder Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee and the birth anniversary of “Karnataka Kesari” Jagannath Rao Joshi.
Karnataka Congress MLA from Kagwad, Raju Kage, has accused the Congress-led government of corruption and neglect. He has threatened to resign citing prolonged delays in executing development works in his constituency, blaming the state administration for inaction.
Speaking in Ainapur, Belagavi district, Kage has expressed frustration that not a single work order has been issued, two years after the Chief Minister approved a Rs 25 crore special grant.
