Mumbai, June 25 (UNI) The number of Covid cases in Maharashtra has started slowing down since its peak in May and early this month, as 25 new patients have been found in the state in last 24 hours.
A total of 2,395 Covid patients have been found and 33 deaths have been recorded in the state since this year.
The state Health officials said today that the number of Covid patients in the state was increasing in May and early June. Due to this, the daily number of patients in the state had reached 100 between June 11 and 13.
After that, the number of patients decreased by almost half from June 14. Since then, the rate of increase in corona infection has been low.
Of 25 new Covid patients detected in the state in last 24 hours, Mumbai-8, Nagpur-5, Chandrapur-3, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar-2 and Pune city, Pune Rural, Thane, Navi Mumbai, Bhiwandi, Kolhapur and Akola-1 patient each.
Out of 2,395 patients diagnosed with Covid in the state, the maximum number of 965 patients has been registered in Mumbai. The number of active patients in the state is 256, and 2,106 patients have recovered.
Since January, 33 patients have died in the state, out of which 32 patients were suffering from co-morbidities, sources added.
