Pune, June 4 (UNI) Day temperatures were markedly above normal ( > 5.1°C) at isolated places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal; appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at isolated places over Assam and Meghalaya, Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha.

The day temperatures above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at few places over Lakshadweep; at isolated places over Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, east Uttar Pradesh, west Uttar Pradesh, Saurashtra and Kutch and coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam and near normal (-1.5°C to 1.5°C) at many places over Kerala and Mahe; at most places over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Konkan and Goa and coastal Karnataka; at a few places over Bihar, west Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat Region; at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, Rayalaseema and north Interior Karnataka.

On Tuesday, the highest maximum temperature of 42.6°C was reported at Banda (east Uttar Pradesh).



Hailstorm observed at isolated places over Jammu and Uttarakhand.



Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep and at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh and at a few places in Assam and Meghalaya, Jharkhand, west Madhya Pradesh, south interior Karnataka and Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at isolated places in Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat region, Saurashtra and Kutch, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalseema, Tamil Nadu and north interior Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather has prevailed in Bihar, Punjab and Marathwada.
