DGP, Army’s Corps commander, review ongoing operations in South Kashmir

Srinagar, Oct 28 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat, along with the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Army’s Srinagar based 15 Corps, on Wednesday reviewed ongoing security operations with all formations deployed in South Kashmir.
According to a post shared by Kashmir Police on X, the senior officers reviewed the ongoing operations, with all Formations, deployed in South Kashmir.
The police post did not disclose further details about the any decisions taken during the meeting.
South Kashmir witnessed two back-to-back militant attacks in July this year. On July 22, a Jammu and Kashmir Police head constable was shot dead by militants in Anantnag district, in the first attack in the Kashmir Valley since the April Pahalgam terror attack.
Nine days later, on July 31, two non-local brick kiln workers from Chhattisgarh were killed in a militant attack in Kulgam district. One of the workers died while being shifted to hospital, while the other succumbed to his injuries during treatment the following morning.
