Dobrindt vows full support to Israel post talks with Israeli FM

Jerusalem/Berlin, June 29 (UNI) Israeli Foreign Minister Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar on Sunday visited the site of Iran's missile attack in Bat Yam with German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt who vowed the complete support of Berlin to Jerusalem.

The first official diplomatic visit to Israel following the conclusion of Operation Rising Lion, Dobrindt thanked Sa'ar for the invite to Israel, and said that the country must be supported in its fight against terror, reports Jerusalem Post.

Dobrindt said "There is no justification for attacks on a civilian population, as occurred here."

"Anyone who sees what the Iranians did to civilians here should fear what they could do with a nuclear bomb. We are 100% behind Israel’s actions in recent days, including the strike on nuclear sites.”

Talking about the Iranian nuclear program, he said “The nuclear threat is not only a danger to Israel but to all of Europe. Israel, Germany, and the United States will not accept a nuclear-armed Iran.”

Saar called the German visit a gesture of “solidarity” and urged the international community to reimpose sanctions on Iran.

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz on June 17, on the sidelines of a G7 summit in Canada, said Israel that was doing the “dirty work... for all of us” by targeting Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, voicing full support to Tel Aviv.
