Dr Jitendra thanks Pralhad Joshi for enhancement in paddy procurement estimate for J&K during KMS

Jammu, Oct 30 (UNI) union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh, has thanked the union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Pralhad Joshi, for ordering enhancement in the paddy procurement estimate for Jammu and Kashmir during the Kharif Marketing Season (KMS).
Dr Singh who is also a Member Parliament from Kathua Constituency in a post on X, said, "GOOD NEWS FOR THE FARMING COMMUNITY OF KATHUA & J&K!"
"In response to a popular demand from the farming community of Kathua and its elected representatives, a request was made by me to union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Pralhad Joshi, for enhancement in the paddy procurement estimate for Jammu and Kashmir during the Kharif Marketing Season (KMS)," Dr Singh said in a post.
He further posted, "I thank the Minister Joshi ji, on my behalf and on behalf of the farming community of my region, for promptly accepting the demand and issuing orders for the said enhancement."
"Under the benevolent leadership of PM Shri @narendramodi ji since 2014, Kathua has received several landmark Central projects and benefits of national importance, and whenever a demand was made in public interest, it has been positively responded to," he further said in a post.

Man Gets 20 Years’ Rigorous Imprisonment in Minor Rape Case in Panchkula

Panchkula, Oct 30 (UNI) A 35-year-old man has been sentenced to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of ₹52,000 by a Fast-Track Special POCSO Court in Panchkula in a 2022 case involving the rape of a minor girl.
Additional Sessions Judge Manish Dua also sentenced the man to two years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of ₹2,000 under Section 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Both sentences will run concurrently.
