Raj CM accuses Congress of double speak on democracy and constitution

Jaipur, Oct 30 (UNI) Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma accused the opposition Congress of "double speak as per their convenience" about serious issues like democracy and constitutional institutions.
"For the opposition party the democracy in the country is strong and fine when they win the election, but that democracy appears to them weak and under threat when they bite the dust at the hustings", Sharma said sarcastically while launching the ruling BJP's "Loktantra Bachao : Arajakta Bhagao" padyatra in Kota.
"Those who have been projecting themselves as defenders of democracy - and the constitution, and are today preaching to us on the subject, they however never showed any respect or regards for the values attached to both," he retorted.
"When it came for saving their own political life and fate they imposed Emergency. While ensuring to save their own government they had not hesitated to resort to the prolonged "Barabandi" in resorts and hotels, and even dismissed rivals' governments in a total disregard of the constitutional provisions, norms and regulations", the Chief Minister continued.
"Today, with the opposition party being out of power for long and conceding defeat at the hustings one after another, they are seeing the constitution under threat and democracy in a weak state and holding us and factors like EVMs, SIR responsible for it".
"They desperately want to dethrone somehow, Prime Minister Narendra Modi by spreading arajakta (chaos) by way of rallies, marches, demonstrations. However, I want to assure them that Narendra Modi would not demit the post, so long as the goals of Viksit Bharat, Empowerment of each and every woman, downtrodden, kisan and mazdoor are not realised".

Hence, for getting the country rid of the opposition party's Arajak actions of moves, the BJP has resolved to effectively counter their ongoing campaign "Vote Bachao-Desh Bachao".
"This "Loktantra Bachao - Arajakta Bhagao" and the padyatra being launched in Kota today symbolises our resolve for countering the opposition by our mass awareness based campaign", Sharma asserted.
