ECoR Yatra mobile App launched for Puri Rath Yatra pilgrims

Bhubaneswar, June 24 (UNI) The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has launched a dedicated mobile application, ‘ECoR Yatra’, to offer real-time, reliable, and accessible railway services to the lakhs
of pilgrims attending the Puri Rath Yatra.
According to ECoR sources, the Android-based app is now available on the Google Play Store and serves as a comprehensive digital guide for all rail-related services and passenger amenities during the festival.
Specially designed for the Rath Yatra 2025, the app provides real-time updates and essential travel information for pilgrims and other rail users.
‘ECoR Yatra’ is a one-stop digital solution, allowing passengers to plan their journeys, access transportation services, and receive timely updates on railway facilities—all without needing to
visit station counters. With intuitive navigation and multilingual support, the app is user-friendly
for passengers from across the country.
The app includes a complete list of Special Trains operating exclusively for Rath Yatra 2025 (from June 25 to July 7), including train numbers, schedules, and halts—helping pilgrims plan their travel well in advance.
Users can also access the updated timetable of all regular trains to and from Puri, including long-distance and intercity services.
In addition, the app provides real-time train running status, arrival and departure times, and platform information at Puri Station, minimizing reliance on manual announcements.
Integrated with IRCTC, the app offers information on Retiring Rooms, Tourist Huts, and temporary festival accommodations, making it easier for devotees to find places to rest.
ECoR sources further added that details of special ticket counters at Puri and other major stations have also been included. The app supports booking of both reserved and unreserved tickets, along with UTS on Mobile functionality.
Linked with NTES and PNR status, the app allows smooth access to fare enquiries, seat availability, and journey planning tools.
It also features short, informative videos on how to use Automatic Ticket Vending Machines (ATVMs), enhancing digital literacy among users.
To ensure a safe and smooth festival experience, the app provides safety guidelines and advisories on Crowd control and movement, Staying hydrated,wearing protective gear, avoiding overcrowded zones,reporting unattended baggage or suspicious activities,and special instructions for senior citizens and children.
ECoR has urged all pilgrims to make the most of the ‘ECoR Yatra’ App, describing it as part of their ongoing commitment to providing early, accessible, and digital services to all citizens.
Passengers and pilgrims attending the Rath Yatra are advised to download the app from the Google Play Store to stay informed and avoid unnecessary delays.
ECoR stated that the ‘ECoR Yatra’ App is a significant step toward ensuring a seamless travel experience while reducing crowding at enquiry and ticket counters.
