ED raids Siddhartha institutions linked to Karnataka minister

Tumakuru, May 21 (UNI) The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday conducted raids and inspections at Siddhartha Institute of Technology and Siddhartha Medical College here, both of which are associated with Karnataka Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara.

The operations, which commenced around 9.30 am, involved five ED teams simultaneously inspecting the two institutions. Security has been tightened at the Siddhartha Engineering College campus, where entry is being permitted only for students carrying valid identity cards. Access for outsiders and unauthorised personnel has been strictly restricted.

The ED has not issued an official statement yet regarding the nature of the investigation.
