Telangana DGP Jitender felicitates 52 police personnel for outstanding performance

Hyderabad, May 21 (UNI) Telangana Director General of Police (DGP) Dr Jitender felicitated 52 police personnel for their exceptional performance in crime investigation, detection, and other critical areas of policing.
The ceremony was held at the DGP Office on Wednesday, where the officers were presented with certificates of appreciation and cash rewards.
Speaking at the event, Dr Jitender noted that the Telangana Police has emerged as the top-performing police department in the country, as per the India Justice Report 2025.
He also highlighted the Department’s leadership in mobile phone recovery, attributing these achievements to the dedication and consistent efforts of police personnel across the state. He urged officers to continue striving for excellence, uphold integrity, and strengthen public trust through sincere service.
Director General of CID, Shikha Goel, elaborated that the 52 officers were chosen after a detailed review of their performance in 2024. The evaluation covered key areas such as grave crime detection, securing convictions, liquidation of undetected cases, execution of non-bailable warrants, timely disposal of POCSO cases, high performance in National Lok Adalats, recovery of funds in cybercrime cases, and detection of property offences.
In addition to individual recognitions, the top-performing units — Hyderabad, Medak, and Ramagundam — as well as the top 10 police stations, identified based on citizen feedback mechanisms, including QR code responses, were also honoured for their service excellence.
The ceremony was attended by several senior officials, including Director General (Intelligence) B Shivdhar Reddy, Additional DGPs Mahesh M. Bhagwat and Anil Kumar, IGPs M. Ramesh, Chandrasekhar Reddy, Ramesh Naidu, and Srinivas, CID DIG Sri Narayana Nayak, CID SP Srinivas, and other dignitaries, a statement from DGP office said.
