Four children struck in car, die of suffocation

Vizianagaram, May 18 (UNI) In a tragic incident, four children, including two siblings, all below eight years of age, died of suffocation when they struck a stationary car at Dwarapudi village near here on Sunday.
Police said that the deceased children boarded a stationary car while they were playing. However the car doors were automatically locked when they were inside the car. Their parents and relatives searched all the area for them. Finally the four children were found dead inside the car which was parked at the Mahila Mandali office premises.

Police said that the children were unable to unlock the doors of the car and died of suffocation. The deceased children were identified as Uday (8), Charumati (8), Charisma (6) and Manaswi (8). The police registered a case and shifted the bodies to the GGH for postmortem.
Most sadly, two deceased girls, Charumathi and Charisma were siblings. Poignant scenes were witnessed with the grieving parents and relatives of the deceased children inconsolably.
