Unnao (UP), May 25 (UNI) Four persons, including two members of a family, were killed when a car rammed into a container truck in Bangarmau Kotwali area of Unnao district in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday, a police officer said here.
Circle Officer (CO) Bangarmau Arvind Kumar said that the accident took place on Agra-Lucknow expressway under Bangarmau police station area, where the car going from Lucknow to Agra collided with a container truck from behind. "The collision was so severe that half of the car went under the container and the people in the car got trapped inside it," he said.
He said that three persons died on the spot in the accident. "The deceased have been identified as Vinay Pathak (58), Brajesh Yadav alias Umesh Singh (45) and Seema Upadhyay (55). Seema's daughter Aarushi Upadhyay (26) was seriously injured in the incident," he said.
The CO said that a police inspector passing by the highway immediately took Aarushi in his private car to Tirwa Kannauj and admitted her there. "Seeing their critical condition, she was referred to Kanpur where she was declared dead," he said.
