Gang facilitating sneaking of Bangladeshis to India on fake documents, busted

Kishanganj, June 7 (UNI) The security personnel busted a gang and arrested one person adjoining the international border of Nepal for making fake documents to help Bangladeshis enter India.
Police Superintendent Saagar Kumar told news persons here on Saturday that the gang was busted and one criminal, namely Asraful, was arrested on Friday at Gilaahawaadi village under Jiyapokhar police station area of the district.
He said that the equipment used to prepare a fake Aadhar card, a mobile phone, and the vehicle were also seized during the action of the police team led by Thakurganj SDPO-II Manglesh Kumar.
Besides arresting the local criminal, Asraful, an FIR was lodged against Pankaj, Jamal, and the vehicle owner.
The SP said that during the raid conducted at the house of Asraful, the police recovered Nepali SIM, retina scanner, a Nepali note, a laptop, a printer, an Aadhar card printer, and other equipment.
SP said that the gang helps Bangladeshis to sneak into Indian territory by making fake Aadhar cards. He said that before facilitating the infiltration of Bangladeshis into the Indian territory, the gang members used to give them rooms on rent for Rs. 3 thousand.
He said that the other accused escaped towards Nepal during the action.
The team was interrogating the arrested accused member of the gang whose network was functional in the Dighalbank area adjoining the Indo-Nepal border. The SP said that the entire connection of the gang was being investigated.
