Govt has initiated new era of change in Bastar: Chhattisgarh CM

Raipur, June 20 (UNI) Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said on Friday the state government has initiated a new era of change in Bastar with determination, sensitivity, and inclusive policies.

Addressing a group of 96 young men and women from Bijapur district's Niyad Nella Nar gram panchayats, Sai said, "You all have seen Raipur for the first time. I welcome you and hope your visit is pleasant and memorable. The self-confidence of the youth is our inspiration, and together we will build a new Bastar."

The Chief Minister highlighted the government's efforts to bring peace and development to Naxal-affected areas through initiatives like 'Niyad Nella Nar'.

He underscored that the youth are the future of Chhattisgarh and their participation is crucial for the region's progress.

Sai said the 'Niyad Nella Nar' initiative has transformed villages and empowered youth with self-reliance and dignity.

He informed the youth that the government is working to establish peace in the area and Union Minister Amit Shah has decided to eradicate Naxalism by March 2026.

The Chief Minister urged the youth to promote agriculture and education, which will contribute to the state's development.

He mentioned initiatives like 'Bastar Olympic' and 'Bastar Pandum', which showcase Bastar's culture and heritage, and said these events have sent a message to the world that Bastar is moving towards a new era.

Sai assured the youth that the government is committed to providing opportunities through various schemes, skill training, sports, and education, and urged them to join the mainstream and contribute to building a strong, secure, and prosperous Bastar.
