Gruesome murder in Mangaluru

Mangaluru, May 1 (UNI) A 26-year-old man was brutally attacked and murdered by a group of unidentified assailants near Kinnipadavu Cross under the jurisdiction of Mangaluru City Police on Thursday night.
The incident occurred around 8:27 PM when the victim, Suhash Shetty, was travelling in a vehicle along with his companions — Sanjay, Prajwal, Anvith, Latheesh, and Shashank.
According to police, the group was intercepted by a gang of 5 to 6 assailants travelling in a car and a pickup vehicle.
The attackers, armed with deadly weapons, launched a violent assault on Shetty, inflicting grievous injuries. He was immediately rushed to AJ Hospital but was declared dead shortly after arrival.
A case has been registered at Bajpe Police Station, and multiple teams have been formed to track down the culprits.
Mangaluru City Police Commissioner said efforts are being made to ensure swift justice and to uphold law and order in the region.
Further investigation is underway.
