Haryana BJP targets 11-member committees at every booth within three months

Panchkula, Oct 22 (UNI) Haryana BJP has set a three-month target to constitute 11-member committees at every polling booth, state president Dr Archana Gupta said on Thursday after organisational meetings led by state in-charge Smriti Irani and co-in-charge Bhola Singh.
Addressing a press conference, Gupta said Irani had held three meetings by the afternoon, covering the state president and four state general secretaries, other state office-bearers, district presidents and district in-charges.
The discussions focused on strengthening the organisation at the booth level, appointing panna pramukhs and assigning organisational responsibilities to workers.
“State office-bearers and district in-charges will visit every district and stay overnight to interact directly with workers,” Gupta said.
She said the meetings also examined ways to strengthen contact with senior and longstanding workers and ensure that every worker received an organisational responsibility.
According to Gupta, Irani told party workers that helping eligible people access the union and Haryana governments’ welfare schemes was their primary responsibility.
Further meetings were scheduled for the afternoon with leaders who had served three terms as state office-bearers, former state presidents of party morchas, and chairpersons and vice-chairpersons of boards and corporations.
Responding to protests by Congress and the opposition INDIA bloc over alleged vote theft, Gupta accused the opposition of spreading a misleading narrative about the electoral process and constitutional institutions.
She alleged that opposition parties accepted electronic voting machines when they won elections but questioned them after defeats. She also invoked the 1975 Emergency while criticising Congress.
On the electricity employees’ strike, Gupta said Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini was sensitive to employees’ concerns and that assurances had been given that no employee would be removed.
She attributed the decision concerning private participation in electricity distribution to the Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission.
“The government is serious about the matter and stands with the electricity employees,” she said.
Gupta also criticised the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab, alleging that the drug problem was damaging young people’s future.
She claimed that union Home Minister Amit Shah’s campaign against drugs had unnerved the Punjab government. She also questioned its alleged treatment of a father who had sought help over the drug problem.UNI KK AAB
