Haryana CM Nayab Saini condoles loss of lives in Yamuna Expressway bus fire

Panchkula, Sept 24 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Thursday expressed grief over the loss of lives in a bus fire on the Yamuna Expressway in Uttar Pradesh and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured.
At least nine people were killed after a sleeper bus caught fire near Jewar in Greater Noida late Wednesday night. The bus was carrying around 35 passengers, according to police.
Describing the incident as “extremely sad and heart-rending”, Saini said, “I pray to God to grant the departed souls a place at His feet and give strength to the bereaved families to bear this immense loss.”
“I wish a speedy recovery to all those injured in the accident,” the Chief Minister said in a post on X.
Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the fire. The bus driver and conductor have been taken into custody, while an FIR has been registered in connection with the incident.
